Banksia series, 2021-2025
This series began in 2021 in my immediate environment, observing plants outside my backyard Canberra studio. Memories return of regular
independent after-school expeditions into the bushland of the now named Garigal National Park (established 1991)
and sitting on a Banksia leaf-stained rock shelf beneath Banksia serrata trees.
Site visits around Australia extends my learning and engagement.
Functional and sculptural works are embellished with a variety of Banksia leaves, rather than the flowers, symbolising hope and abundance.

Australian Native Plant series
This selection of vessels feature plants including Hardenbergia and a variety of Banksias. They are wheel thrown in porcelain and glazed in a celadon type glaze.
